About me.
I have worked in publishing since 2008, beginning in-house at Pearson Australia in Melbourne after completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (Editing and Communications) at the University of Melbourne. A freelancer since 2014, I have edited and proofread for a range of publishers including Lonely Planet, Wiley, Oxford University Press, Pearson and Cengage. Since 2019, I also write and edit marketing and other content for IT companies and digital marketing agencies.

Services.

Assessment.

Copy assessment is done if you just need feedback on what makes your copy work and what doesn't. This option is for you if you simply want advice on how to make your content more presentable.

Copyediting.
At the copyediting stage, I will edit your text to fix grammar, punctuation and spelling, ensuring it adheres to your house style. I will also check for factual accuracy, and for consistency in layout and formatting.
Structural editing.
At this stage, I will edit your text for structure, addressing issues with content, organisation and pacing.
Copywriting.
I write landing pages, case studies, blog posts, white papers, social media content.
Fair and transparent pricing.
I charge an hourly rate, but can also offer a monthly retainer (a set monthly fee for ongoing work), or work according to your needs/budget.

In the interest of transparency, I always assess a manuscript and advise my clients in advance of the approximate cost of the job. I usually do this by editing a small portion of the text and then estimating the cost based on the number of pages, which means my estimates are quite accurate.

If during the edit I find that substantially more time is needed (or more work required than initially anticipated) I will advise the client immediately.
